About us
History
The first student academy witch concentrate its activities on nanotechnology in Iran started its research in summer of 2001 at faculty of engineering , University of Tehran .
Founders are all chemical engineering students. In regards to the importance of nanotechnology as the next industrial revolution, they focused their scientific activities on this technology.
This group was registered as "Nanotechnology Society of Faculty of Engineering" at university of Tehran in autumn 2001.
The committees from other majors created in the society and admitted active students after a time.
In present, the society has more than 100 members from electronic and electrical engineering, metallurgy and materials engineering, mechanical engineering and mining engineering and chemical engineering fields.
Goals and Visions
- Recognition of the main basis of nanotechnology.
- Improving the general knowledge of nanotechnology in academic and industrial communities.
- Looking for the applications of nanotechnology in different industries.
- Doing applied research and projects toward industrial development of the countr
